Practice Nurses

There are three practice nurses employed by the practice, and all work part-time. In addition, there are two health care assistants who is fully trained in taking bloods and ECGs (heart tracings), thereby freeing up the doctors and nurses to consult.

The practice nurses have special interests in the care and management of asthma, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure and cholesterol-lowering.

Appointment times:

Monday 9.00 am to 11.00 am           2.00 pm to 5.00 pm
Tuesday 8.30 am to 12.00 pm 1.00 pm to 4.30 pm
Wednesday   9.00 am to 12.00 pm 1.00 pm to 4.30 pm
Thursday 9.00 am to 12.00 pm 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm
Friday 9.00 am to 12.00 pm 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm

Please consult the practice nurse if you require:

  • routine or travel immunisation,
  • cervical smear
  • blood taking
  • wound care
  • referral to the primary care mental health team
  • advice on obesity management
  • routine blood pressure check
  • asthma review
